There has been a recent announcement published about the sale of National Starch Food Innovation(NSFI) to Corn Products International. The sale of NSFI does not involve the Global Personal Care business of AkzoNobel Surface Chemistry.

NSFI and other National Starch businesses became part of the overall AkzoNobel business with the ICI acquisition in 2008. It was publicly announced shortly after the acquisition that the NSFI food starch business was going to be divested due to lack of strategic fit in the new AkzoNobel Chemicals portfolio. The Global Personal Care Business was integrated into the Surface Chemistry Business Unit of AkzoNobel and is not part of the recent NSFI acquisition by Corn Products International. AkzoNobel Global Personal Care will continue to offer you innovative products, outstanding customer service, and world class technical support.
